The Kelley Course is a 13.1 mile measured loop, all on paved roads.  Race starts and finishes in Ocean Beach Park.  Plenty of parking, arrive early to avoid heavy beach traffic.  Mostly flat with a few rolling hills, long hill at eight miles.  Enjoy panoramic vistas of Long Island Sound on the way out and on the return to the beach with rural roads and a commercial stretch in Waterford. 

 

Course is very well marked, all turns and mile marks in green paint.  Roads are open to traffic, runners are asked to please exercise caution at all times.  Eight official water stops on course.  New London Police, Waterford Police, and Waterford Fire Police will be on the course at busy road crossings, along with N.L.F.D. at start/finish line.  MyLaps Chip timing by SNERRO LLC.  STRICTLY LIMITED TO FIRST 1,000 ENTRIES.  Just click on runsignup icon for on-line registration.  Race day number pick-up at 7:00 am, race starts at 8:00 am, course officially closes at noon!

 

Runners are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center.  Did you know that 1 child in every 6 is food insecure in New London County? Don't let a single child in our community go to school in the morning or to bed at night while hungry. This is something that you can do to help!
